    Pumpkin bus

    A little excited~

    橙色的东西就是可以让人心情很好呢!

    It's a destiny

This is absolutely a "not to be missed" movie ....SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE .I regret that it's not on the top of my pending movie list for the last 2 months.

Hope it's not too late to write this film review.

For those people who are too critical and pessimistic, think it’s unrealistic, I reckon it's spot-on in almost every respect.

The genre is narrative drama with no doubt, but it's much more than that. Driving music and momentum shown, exploded with narrative force, while stirring in a romance at the same time.

The Storyline seems to be simple, a Mumbai slum kid Jamal is poised to win 20 million rupees on India's version of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" live show, under the whole nation's attention. He has already aced the first round by supplying all the correct answer to question after question. How could an uneducated slum kid know all the answers? The film follows a flashback-based structure, as every question is displayed on the screen; Jamal recalls a specific incident that contributed to his current status and explains what has unfolded to the policemen who suspect his cheating. The movie starts out a little confusing but can be very quickly sorted out and understood.

At this point, we are enabled to see how life treats him and his older brother Salim, as well as his pure love Latika. A film critic wrote: “This film shows that destiny is something that is made by an individual and not the society that he lives in.” Indeed.

Some people reviewed this film in the forum saying the way they depicted Mumbai is unrealistic and exaggerated. Also the title SLUMDOG is offensive. Well, I have never been to Mumbai, and don’t know much about their history; however, from what I see from this movie, it implies an entire modern nation. A nation that used to have slums all over the places, while now we can see there are modern train stations, people watch TV live shows. Especially the dance scene in the end showcased something very different from what we saw in the past--A forming youth culture.

To some extend, this film created a portrait of humanity not seen in a long time. It is a film about childhood friendship, love, betrayal, regret, fate and hope. Danny Boyle's direction keeps the film dynamic and engaging by its great visual storytelling along the way.

The cinematography was stunning, and without hesitation I will vote for the editing technique, it’s always the art of story telling. If this film followed another structure, say showing based on the time being, from their childhood, growing older …and finally aced in the show, which would be much less interesting. From this perspective, this film is better than “The curious case of Benjamin Button”.  The editing in this film was just seamless and for director Danny Boyle, it’s a massive achievement.

The acting is impressive, especially coming from the younger cast, most of who have never acted before. Latika is beautiful!!!

“It was such a delight for the eyes, ears and emotions.”

    Simple truth?

For ages, we persuade others, we comfort ourselves.
There are some lines we use all the time, when rejecting/breaking up with someone, we say  "it's not you , it's me" ,
when patting our girlfriends, we say "He doesn't deserve you,you will find better".....actting like we really know something and can predict the future
When it comes to ourselves,we make assumptions by saying "maybe" all the time

we never face the simple truth behind it , he 's just not that into you because to some extend, truth hurts
to make ourselves and others feel better, we just keep telling white lies, imaging senarios...
in the end, we will just toss everything to time.
either wait ,let the time pass by or move on without wasting any time
The movie "He's just not that into you" begin with montage scene pokes fun at the terrible relationship advice women give each other in the sake of being supportive.
Throughout the movie, you will find most of the scenes familiar, it is a reflection of real everyday life
The sharp-eyed comments are hilarious yet true.....Maybe it's also why women are so easily convinced by media(movie, book, magazine,TV show)
it freed women from wasting their time worrying and analysing men.
However, even when somebody tell us directly that something we don't wanna hear, we still insist at some point that we might be the exception to the rule
    Anyway
Lovely ,hilarious , movie~~Girls, go watch it with ur girlfriends~it also has a hardcopy version~~funny read~
Basically ,there's no rule at all~or you figure out~

    Aus open

After 4.5 hours  long match ,Nadal's victory over Roger Federer  in Sunday night's Australian Open final has confirmed his position as No.1 worldwide.
The fifth set was full of tension. I watched it, and also the news followed the next day, here are two quotes and  a little bit thoughts

With disappointment, frustration. Federer said "God It's killing me." "In the first moment you're disappointed, you're shocked, you're sad, you know, then all of a sudden it overwhelms you," he said. "The problem is you can't go in the locker room and just take it easy and take a cold shower. You can't. You know, you're stuck out there. It's the worst feeling."

When you win an important match, but you have to know before the match who you are and after the match you have to know who you are, too. You are the same."
    --------------Rafael Nadal

That's right, life is full of victory and failure, upturns and downturns.
We can never assume what is happening today predicts the same as a constant future.
sometimes it is like a roller coast, it always takes longer to go up than coming down.
What Nadal said is very profound, don't feel you are on the top of the world when you win something, and don't stay at where you fail for long.
